Fans across the NFL, and in particular those of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders, are in shock at the tragic passing of QB Dwayne Haskins Jr.
Drafted by the then Washington Redskins in 2019 at pick 15, and after a stellar College career with Ohio State, Dwayne was perhaps the QB choice of owner Dan Snyder rather than the coaching team.
He did, however, possess natural talent & size and that all-important big arm to stretch the field. It is not beyond the imagination, therefore, that Dwayne might well have become a viable NFL QB within the Steelers organisation and under the tutelage of Pittsburgh Head Coach Mike Tomlin.
It is beyond an understatement to say that 24 is not an age to pass in any circumstances, let alone such a terrible accident on a Florida highway.
For an all too brief time, Dwayne Haskins Jr threw touchdown passes in the NFL, and only a very small number of people can ever say they did the same.
